Seeking Help

At some time in life, almost everyone feels so overwhelmed by life stressors that outside assistance is needed. Often people do not want to burden family or friends further but need to talk to someone. Sometimes family and friends do not know how to help, or sometimes they are the cause of the difficulty.

You need a safe, supportive place to explore issues that are causing you distress. Our staff does not see such difficulties as "problems" but as opportunities to grow and to develop skills, to strengthen healthy relationships.

Some reasons people seek counseling include:

Make an Appointment:
Dont face these difficulties alone, let Samaritan help. Pick up a phone and call us at (734) 677-0609, press "0" to talk with an intake specialist, or send an E-Mail to samaritancounsel@sbcglobal.net.

Affordable Fees:
Every effort will be made to provide the highest quality service at the most reasonable rates. Most insurances are accepted. If you do not have insurance, or can not afford our standard fee, ask about fee-assistance. Samaritan is a nonprofit, tax-exempt organization supported by client fees and contributions from local churches, corporations, service groups, foundations, and individuals. Such contributions allow Samaritan to offer fee-assistance help. Our intake specialist will help you with applying for such help.

Registration:
As part of the registration process, we ask that you print and fill out the appropriate form(s) to bring with you to give to your therapist at the first appointment. This will help them get a clear picture of your needs and help to get you the care you need.
